The Network of Waste Activists Stopping Trash Exports is an informal, Michigan-based, grassroots organization dedicated to educating the public about the huge problems associated with transborder (both state and national) shipment and disposal of solid wastes. Through education, lobbying, and direct action, it is our intent to take on the entrenched power of the waste management companies and their cohorts in local, state and federal government.
